Last month I chose Debt Review as an option to pay my debts. Via google I found Debt Busters online and a consultant (Raphael) phoned me back after my online query. He went through the process of how Debt Busters can "help" you and promised me (after he assessed my debt) that I would pay no more than R6200 p/m for 5 years in order to pay off all my debt. I was ecstatic, this would save me about R3000 p/m and avoid being blacklisted. After I paid and signed the power of attorney to these parasites a month later a "negotiator" working on my case contacted me and informed me that the original pay schedule that Raphael had worked out for me would not suffice and that I would have to pay R7200-R7500 p/m over 7 years to cover my debt. This is ludicrous! Thereafter I contacted Raphael, he told me that I should have read the power of attorney and that I cannot hold him liable for any promises that he made even though I have e-mail evidence of all these guarantees. My debit order for one creditor still keeps going off, they couldn't even get that right. Now I'm told by this if I want to cancel this then I must pay a 75% cancellation fee after already paying them R6700 for nothing? EVIL
