Friday afternoon I went to the bank to draw money that was paid into my account by a company for services rendered and I had to go and pay my employees that very afternoon just to discover that they have debited a loan payment from my account which was set to come off on the 25th of August. Now I'm sitting there with a problem of how I am going to pay these people. The consultant then put me through to the finance department and with that the lady tells me that they will refund the money before 4 o clock that day and yet I'm still waiting for the monies to be refunded. I then had to go and lend money some place else to pay these people and now I sit with interest that needs to be paid on the amount I borrowed. I have never NOT paid FNB because my account is with them and they have access to my account so why inconvenience my life when they have over enough money to cover whatever cost they need to cover until I get paid. I am handing this situation over to the consumers protection act as well and I will be looking for an alternative where I can get better service. Saving is not service! There are much cheaper banks than FNB.
