I have been a member of Zest life Gap cover for over 4 years. I know it does not cover co-payment. My daughter had an ear op 2 years ago and I let go of the co-payment of R1000 for the hospital. I have never claimed from Zest Life EVER! However in April this year, Nolien Bell phoned me about an Universal Gap cover for an extra R10 a month. I over and over confirmed on the phone if it would pay that R1000 hospital payment as I had plans to remove my son's and my tonsils. After my son going into hospital to have his removed first I was astound to hear they will not pay the R1000 hospital cover. I feel this is totally unacceptable, everything with empty promises. I am rather going to put that extra R159 a month I paid over to Zest Life into a notice deposit account and accumulate it myself for any medical surprises.
