I can't believe how bad your own bank can treat you!! Absolutely shocking!

I just applied for new Vehicle finance through Wesbank. I have 2 platinum accounts with my bank. I dont owe anyone money and I have always been a very good payer. I am a commission only earner.

Wesbank declined my application as they only look at the last 3 months bank statements. Surely my bank should know whats going on in my accounts and that I can afford to pay this vehicle. The bank is very quick to give you platinum accounts with them and give you a credit limit of R100 000. I have a colleague that applied through wesbank as she is a commission only earner and they looked at the last 8 months bank statements - so really what is the standard here. I phoned Westbank 6 times and eventually someone could finally tell me who to speak to. The lady is unavailable on her line.

I got my finance through Nedbank. I will now move all my accounts to Nedbank going forward and I look forward to dealing with them instead of FNB/Wesbank.

Highly upset about this! The treatment is appauling! I would rather bank with someone that looks after their own clients.

I would recommend to stay away from them!
