For a few years, whilst I banked with Nedbank, I had a garage card. I went through a rough patch financially and was unable to pay the amount due on the card.
On the 28th May 2013, I contact the Nedbank legal division and requested a settlement amount as well as banking details so that I could effect payment. I was promised by the consultant that as soon as my account was paid in full, my name would be cleared with the various credit bureaus within 2 weeks of the payment having been made. Upon completion of the phone call to the legal division, I made payment via eft, using the information given to me by the consultant.
Three months later, I am still trying to get my named cleared by Nedbank, and have subsequently discovered that there is another amount they claim I owe them.
As a result of their utter incompetence and lack of customer service, I have struggled to apply for vehicle finance and home finance as my name is listed on the various credit bureaus.
As a single mom, it is tough enough to keep your finances in good shape so this added frustration is completely unacceptable.
