We are in the process of purchasing a house. Firstly the bank gives the lawyers a go ahead to register the bond without us even signing the banks offer. We then renegotiated the offer and accepted it. Then the bank send us a confirmation letter of who the lawyers are, but without any contact details. Finally a week later we managed to get hold of the lawyers and we are at their offices to sign the documents only to find the bank gave the first offer to the lawyers. So we could not sign the deal. The lawyers said they will get the correct documents from the bank and schedule another appointment when they have received the correct documents. So here we are, 6 working days later and still no documents to sign, so this will cause a delay in the process we will probably end up having to pay occupational rent because of the banks incompetent consultant!!!
