I got a loan from FNB about 2 months ago. Everything was running smooth until now. FNB had to approve my life cover for the Lawyers to proceed and register the property. I got life cover for this loan a few weeks ago and the Lawyers submitted the documents to FNB on the 15 of May 2013. We have email proof of this. On the 16th of May 2013, the Lawyers in an email, told FNB to proceed. Nothing happened.
On 20 May 2013, I contacted FNB to hear what was going on, they claimed that the Lawyers only asked for the Proceed that morning. NOT TRUE. FNB then told me that it will take 24-48 hours for Home loans department to very the life cover and to proceed. It is now Friday 24th of May 2013. Still no answer.
I phoned again this afternoon of 24th May 2013 to hear what was going on only to find out that nothing has been done. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that I could not because they are all in a meeting. I then requested that one of them phone me back, still waiting
Lawyers will now withdraw the register and do it again and I will now have to pay occupational rent.
Funny how consumers always pays the price for mistakes. I wonder if FNB will pay the occupational rent?
