We need urgent assistance as we are soon to be thrown out to the streets. We went to debt review in 2009. We paid, without failure, the restructured amount to the debt counsellor monthly. We were not aware that the debt counsellor was short-paying standard bank towards the bond payments. He eventually closed the shop without informing us and dumped our file with others. We were taken by suprise to hear that the bank has cancelled the debt review and that our house will be auctioned. We tried our level best to negotiate as we have proof that we have been paying and that we were defrauded by the debt counsellor. We even logged a complaint with NCR. We negotiated with the bank to reinstate debt debt review as we can prove that we are victims. The legal department insist that we pay R 60 000 by 22/08/2013 which is tomorrow. We have paid R 40 000 and cant raise R 20 000 as we are both unemployed at this moment. I am disapointed that Standard Bank is not caring to its client. We have all proof of payments to the registered debt counsellor. Its clear we've been robbed and STD Bank is putting salt to an injury. Can someone please help us. We are very desperate and depressed!
