I had heard that FNB was shooting itself in the foot by taking on a million new customers with no expansion to service said new customers... Now I have experienced it first hand.
In April 2013 I submitted an application for a joint FNB platinum credit card.
I was charge R134 to the card immediately and told the amount would be refunded if the card was used in the first 2 months - no problem.
I guess the alarm bells should have started ringing when I received strongly worded messages that I was overdrawn on my agreed limit by R135 before the card was even confirmed issued.
To date I still haven't received either card despite automated assurances to be contacted in 48 hours and I have had R365 in charges deducted from my current account and mounting.
So tell me FNB - when you cancel the card because I haven't used it - will you be giving me all my money back??
