I wanted to surrender my policies I had with Old Mutual (A Retirement Annuity as well as a savings plan) so I contacted my Financial advisor - who never returned my calls. I then changed financial advisors so that I can ACTUALLY get some assistance while filling out the documents. The savings plan was paid out (Minus A LOT of money, which I dont think was fair at all!), but NO ONE IS DOING ANYTHING ABOUT MY RETIREMENT ANNUITY! I sent all of the docs to Old Mutual around about the 24th July (latest) and no one got back to me - everytime i contacted my new financial advisor she kept on saying they are processing it. I eventually got so fed up that i took it in my own hands and contacted the call centre - they then told me they dont have any records of my docs and that i must re-submit them. Since then they come out with a different excuse!!! they still havent done anything about it!!! I AM ANGRY AND FED UP!!! I will definitely NOT recommend OLD MUTUAL to anyone I know!! I have never received such bad service before in MY LIFE!!!
