Claims not going through at GPs and Pharmacies

We are new Essential Med clients and must say that the service we are receiving is not up to par with what I expected.

Firstly, I had to consult a General Practitioner. After contacting your offices in this regard, confirming cover and requesting a list of GPs in my area, I decided on a Dr. A. Fouche. Not only did I have to pay cash for the consultation because the doctor could not process the claim on her side, which I was okay with (okay NOT happy)

Secondly, when I visited Clicks to collect my prescription, they were also unable to process the claim for me and I had to pay around R700 cash.

What are paying for exactly? My premiums are up to date (First premium paid on 2013-07-02 and latest premium paid 2013-08-05). In fact, I actually provided banking details for a Debit Order but when I contacted you before making the second payment because the DO did not go off, you informed me that I was an EFT client. Luckily I was proactive in this regard otherwise the policy would have lapsed! Oh, and in both instances I have used my policy number as reference.
