What am I paying for? I want my money back

I joined Essential Med on a Basic Comprehensive Plan in the 1st/2nd week of March 2013.I was given no confirmation that my membership had been confirmed, I request that customer services send it through. I was also told that I would receive a welcome pack within 14 working days. I was supposed to be debited on the 25th of March but the debit order never went through cause their agent had the last digit of my account incorrectly.? Followed up as I wanted to know what's going on beginning of April & I was advised by Leonie that she'll make sure I get the welcome pack within 14days & that I must make a manual payment I did, best believe these have still not arrived either till today. I asked for the policy to be canceled. The application is still in process and not yet approved Leonie says. I then asked to be refunded the premium I've made payment of and the answer is "Please note that after the payment you were covered for accidental benefits and should you have been in an accident we would have paid the claim. Although you did not use your benefits we cannot refund you your premium paid."I mean really what cover is she talking about if my application isn't yet approved? I want my money 78
