I received an sms from DMC saying I have an account with Altech Autopage that has been handed over to them (ref 17505336). Even though I do not currently have an account with Autopage, I called the call centre number to confirm that they had the wrong person. However, after having to hold on for so long that my airtime almost ran out, I put the phone down without having spoken to anyone. Why do they take on so much business if their call centre does not have the capacity to handle it? If they can't handle the volumes of incoming calls they should phone customers on their own time - not waste people's time and airtime who are already indebted! In future, I won't be calling them - they can call me!
