Altech Autopage Cellular and MTN: shocking service

AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH EITHER MTN OR AUTOPAGE!!! THE INCOMPETENCE IS ALARMING!

I notifed Autopage that I wished to convert my cell phone from contract to pre-paid. I was assured that the conversion would happen some time in July and would not disrupt my service while I was in London on business from the 10th - 21st June. My phone was converted on the 16th June and caused me major inconvenience while I was away.

Immediately on returning to SA on the 22nd June - I went to the Altech Autopage store in Kenilworth, Cape Town to buy airtime so that I could get my phone working. To summarise - 4 days later my phone has still not been converted to prepaid and I STILL cannot load any airtime. I can also not get to talk to ONE competent person at Autopage. This is an ongoing blame game between Autopage and MTN and the service and levels of incompetence from both organisations is quite beyond belief!
