I had an overdraft of R7600 limit with FNB.2011-2013, was unemployed. At the end of 2011, I was unable to honour my commitment by not being able to pay the amount, and my account went to arrears, FNB started calling me, and I asked them if I can make an arrangement to pay them a minimum amount of R300, which at the time I could afford. The lady I spoke to, told me it is too little and I must make a plan to pay amount of R613.Unemployed as I was, I was unable to pay that amount. On the 3rd May 2012 I had surrendered my policy n amount of R2800 was paid into my Acc, which reduced the balance owing to R6300. In july, I received a letter from some attorneys, advising that FNB has instructed them to recover the outstanding money of R6650.I did then sign an agreement to pay them R300.which I continued paying from july 2012 todate. Last month I wanted to get my outstanding bal frm attorneys, and I was shocked that I owe them R7100, after already paying them R3900.I questioned them, and got a shock of my life, that they send me a very long statement, detailing a million charges, some being for sms of R28.50 that was send to me after our initial agreement that I already signed. I need answers frm FNB.
