I opened up a socalled Prestige Account with Standard Bank in January. Many promisses, eg a free Diners Card and an allocated Banker etc...
Up to now, nothing. Not even a call from the 'allocated banker' to introduce him/herself.
So I sent them a complaint.
Standard Bank Prestige Banking responded to my complaint about not sticking to their promisses:
Standard Bank: Hello, my name is (did not understand - phone number 011376 4000). I am calling in connection with your complaint. Is this a convenient time to speak?
Me: yes, it is
Standard Bank: But before we continue, tell me: how much money would you like to invest with us?
Me: speechless
