Received a notice that my policy has been lapsed due to non payment. The best part of this is that my credit card is used for the debit orders (on ABSA's instruction as they nominated me 12 years ago to take out this policy) but never did I receive a notice to say that due to my credit card that expired and Hollard needs the new expiry date. Over the past 12 years I received at least 5 renewal credit cards and not once did I have to update the details. And the next thing I receive is a letter saying my policy has lapse due to non payment.!! Contact the call centre to make other arrangements and I get told "You can update the bank details but there will be a 6 months waiting period before you are covered"

I am very well aware that the policy will lapse if not paid, but a phone call would have been nice to inform me that they expiry date is now a problem. Hollard couldn't give me any proof that a letter or sms were sent to notify me and even after I said I will make all arrear payments immediatly - you still tell me I won't be covered for 6 months.

For 12 years being a loyal paying client, no claims submitted, you get treated like this, but you quick to sell Hollard!
