I was sold a Hollard motor xtender policy with the promise that any service or sudden mechanical breakdown would be fully covered. After paying for the policy for two years I brought my BMW in for a service and submitted the claim to Hollard. They only covered 1/3 of the total cost of the service and they also informed me they will only pay up to R1500 for a claim no matter the total amount. I was not informed of any of these details when I first signed the policy and had I known this I would never have agreed as the total cost would far out way any possible benefit. I am deeply upset at the service I have received from Hollard and would advise others to avoid them as an insurance provider.
