I have taken out an Income Protector from Liberty Life quite some time ago. The purpose of an Income Protector is to supplement or replace your salary in case of any unforeseen incidents. At least that was what I thought and were told.
I was in a motorbike accident on the 21st of May. Up to date I haven't received a single cent from Liberty. The reason for this is that they have loads of paper work that needs to be handed in. Every single doctor has to complete a form. To top it all I had to pay one of these specialists to complete the form and this after Liberty has received all sick notices from all relevant doctors for the full period.
Now they NEED a form from my GP as well to see if I didn't on the forms when I took out the policy.
After all of this, they want a letter from me stating when last I was at work. My employer already submitted a full report on this. I had the accident on the 21st of May, can anyone please let me know what the reason is for asking me this question, are all the doctors wrong???
This kind of service is absolutely pathetic to say the least. I will NOT recommend Liberty to anyone in future.
