The new Standard Bank U Count programme is a complete ripp-off with misleading advertising. They claim that you can earn up to 10% back on your grocery bill at selected outlets BUT this is NOT true. Here's how it works based on a grocery spend of R1000 on Tier 4 (top Tier) of their :
o Grocery Spend of R1000
o Initially you get 1.5% back in points = R15
o Thereafter you then get 8.5% of your spend (CAPPED AT 20%) = (R1000 * 20%) * 8.5% = R17
o Total comes to R15 R17 = R32
o This comes down to a mere 3.2% of your grocery spend and NOT 10% as you claim?
In actual fact you will NEVER be able to get "up to 10% back" as you guys claim...
Totally misleading.
