Working backwards, get to the 21st Century PLEASE

I did an online loan application on monday 30/07/2013, i spoke to percy at the call centre 0860333004 at 09:53, he took all my details then placed me on hold for a minute to do a credit check, he then came back to advise i qualify for a credit card of R4000 repay R300 and a loan of R7000 repay R574.81 over 24months, i asked him if i qualify and if all is ok, he explained all is fine i must take all my orginal docs to the branch i have until saturday 03/08.I called again 31/07 spoke to Percy again at 10:27 to confirm that i had indeed been approved, he said yes and no furter verification was needed, i just need to go into the branch, which i did yesterday with all my documents, i was assisted by shirley, she picked up all my details with my ID, completed my application, told me what i qualify for as well as i signed for a blue credit card and i activated it in store. I completed and signed all the documents which i have copies of, Shirley told me all that must be done now is an employment confirmation, once that is done the money will be in my account. I called the southdale branch today at 11:30 to get status and iam now told my application is declined, HOW ON EARTH? After you give me credit card
