Spent more money by trying to save money

I tried creating a student achievers account on the web so i could save money on a oppikoppi ticket seeing that our household does all of our banking at standard bank and also because i am a full time student (with a student loan from standard bank) and saving money where i can is generally a good thing. i filled in all the boxes and received my verification sms with my verification code but the link included does not lead to the verification page it leads back to the registry page, after trying a few times i phoned customer service. all i needed was for them to email me a working link to the verification page but instead my call got redirected 4 times eventually ending up at head office where even they were to incompetent to help me... this cost me 98 rand in airtime because of their incompetence, i spent more time listening to 16bit call center music than speaking to actual people and the amount i would have saved buying through the student achievers is roughly 150 bux
