Credit Card not settled although paid

Went to Absa Rivoina- requested a settlement on my credit card to be paid cash as I have switched my accounts to FNB- was informed to ADD an additional R12.00 for a cash deposit- I did this- went to the teller who was confused as to why I was paying the extra R12.00- was informed that they could call the card division and cancel the account for me- I didnt have time for this so they said I could call the centre myself- the centre says I now owe them R60.00- thembi/thumi then called and informed me that I was R14.00 short and that I couldnt transfer the money as it would take 3 days to clear so I must just put R20 into the account - Why does the settlement value have these "extra" charges- I want the account closed- that is what they told me to pay- I paid it- and now I must give them more money over the amount I was already informed to pay- this is disgusting service as when I was trying to sort uit out over the phone i was called rude and had the phone dropped on me twice what now!
