Not earning eBucks for over 6 months

It appears that I don't qualify for the 10% discount anymore, and even though I have a Flexi Fixed Deposit account with FNB, I can't qualify because I do not earn 300 eB per month. Because instead of my CHEQUE account being used, my CREDIT CARD is being used. And apparently the reason for this, is because I opted NOT to receive spam from FNB in December last year (something I don't remember doing). The call centre agent explained that apparently the rules for earning eB changed last year - I found the email, and in my opinion this new earning rule was NOT communicated properly at all. Unfortunately I am unable to check what information was provided last year, as the link from this 2012 email is going to a page for the new 2013 rules. I want to know why a product that I signed up for which should be using my CHEQUE account, is now suddenly using my CREDIT CARD which I hardly ever use! I have now lost out on over 6 months' worth of eB earnings because I decided not to receive spam from my bank???
