Due to the high cost of insurance and past bad service I am changing my building insurance from SA Home Loans to Outsurance. I am having all kinds of difficulties with them to cancel my existing insurance purely because of an address issue. The insured value is correct but the area is Buurendal. On Outsurance systems si falls under Edenvale but on SA Home Loans system it falls under Germiston. Now this is a minor technicality and I am on the new insurance but they are unwilling to cancel. I think they are just playing delay tactics to get another month of premiums... and changed their tune when I explained the Consumer Protection Act... on the notice period but now is stalling the process...
I will now start moving my bond as well... because I don't trust SA Home Loans any more.
