I travelled to Rwanda in March 2013 and when I came back to SA, i noticed that the hotel had double charged my credit card. I immediately went to my branch in Hatfield and we phoned the disputes dpt to cancel one of the transactions, which was done right away.
However, at the end of May i noticed that that transactions had gone through again. I received no notification whatsoever! I called standard bank disputes again and emailed a chargeback form with all supporting documents in my possession! for a month and half, i never heard from them, despite sending emails and trying to contact them.
Now almost 2 months later, they tell me that they cannot process the chargeback if i don't have the payment slip that the machine issued when i made the payment.
