A lady from a ABSA's Call centre called me to ask me to provide proof that my vehicle was still insured, I asked if I could call back because I was busy at work and she said yes. I tried calling but couldn't get through and didn't know who to ask for. So I left it at that.
About a month later I received an sms from them saying my vehicle installment is going up with R 605 because I did not produce proof of insurance. This was the first I ever heard from them after the initial unsuccessful call and they never warned me that this would happen
Apparently they mailed a letter, but my postal address is not functioning anymore. I called the call centre again, got through eventually and spoke to a rude lady who told me to mail proof of insurance, which I will do now.
I'm not happy with the way the incident was handled and the rude staff working at the call centre
