Refusing to assist

I went to Absa Centurion to request a letter that my trust account was closed. I needed this letter for the EAAB (Estate Agency Affairs Board). I opened this account in 2009 and did not trade on this account at all hence it was closed automatically by Absa. I did not receive any bank statements for this account. The original letter that was given to me by the Bank, I gave to the EAAB, who is unable to give me a copy as they are unable to obtain this letter. I did eventually get the bank account number and name and I gave it to the enquiry receptionist at ABSA Centurion and now she came back to me on Thursday 18th July 02013 and told me that they can't find it on the system and unable to assist. I am unable to proceed with the sales transactions I have done in the past 4 months, I can't renew my certificate at the EAAB and I am running the risk of being struck from board because ABSA is now refusing to give me a letter that this account is closed. I have banked with ABSA for over 20 years and this is the service you keep getting. I find it very difficult to believe that with today's technology the bank is not able to find this account.
