Nedbank takes R945 out of my account

This morning I had a most extraordinary phone call from Nedbank.

I deposited a cheque for R945.04 to my account on 4 July 2013. It is a gilt edged cheque.

Today Gaalima Sambo a so called "Personal Banker" from Nedbank phoned to say that Nedbank has now lost my cheque and therefore NEDBANK have debited MY account for the amount of the cheque that NEDBANK lost!

I told her that this was tantamount to and totally illegal. I told her to email me and state what Nedbank had done. She checked my email address. But there has been no email.

money out of my account in order to pay for the cheque they lost weeks ago!
My account confirms that on 15 July R945 was taken out of my account due to "C/LOST".

This is shocking, unethical and totally unprofessional.

I have my deposit slip giving details of the cheque.

I am forwarding all details to a lawyer.
