I applied for a UCount rewards card on programme launch. On activating I noticed that I was not given credit for various products I held etc and was thus on the wrong tier. Phoned the call centre and was told that everything would be fixed as the tiering would be updated on Thurs 11 July. Checked and still not updated. Phoned the call centre again and was told that the update had been delayed and would now take place on Tues 16 July. Checked again, but nothing had changed. Phoned the call centre again and was told that the info would be passed onto IT to fix and there was a 48 hour turnaround time. Checked again on Thurs 18 July. Surpise, surprise - nothing had changed. Called the call centre again (for the 4th time) only to be told there was a 7 day turnaround. Because of this total incompetence I am currently losing about R200/week on rewards because of wrong tiering. But the bank was very quick to take their R20 monthly charge even though they are not giving me my rewards. I was considering closing my other credit cards and pushing all purchases through Std Bank. After this fiasco I am considering closing all my Std Bank accounts and moving to FNB. 7 day turnaround - what a joke
