Auto n General damaged my vehicle's computer

My car keys fell and dropped while in Melrose Arch Mall and my car would not start as its one of those sensitive card keys. I then called my insurance, Auto n General who were so prompt with their response as they sent me a tow truck asap. The two guys came and started fiddling on my car bonnet even though I kept telling them, the fault was with my key, not the car. They continued to try and jump start it until they saw it necessary to put the car on top of the truck. They then took the car to the Renault dealership in Corlett Drive. Upon arriving we were met by a gentleman called Allan at the service desk who without looking at the car asked if the car was jump started and when I said yes, he told me that well your people have damaged the computer of your car. They then booked my car in and yes my computer was damaged and the costs came to just under R6000.I told them, my car's fault was only the key and nothing to do with the car. I brought it to the attention of Auto n General and they point blankly refused to pay. I sent email after another as they were quiete for a very long time and eventually told me after 2 weeks of having my car they are still investigating. A week later, they refused.
