Absa
False odometer reading

In aug 2011 i bought a bmw from arnolds motors in klerksdorp. it was a 2003 with "141 000km" on the clock. I had a few problems fixed by the dealer and everything went well. however after 16 000km the gearbox broke down. that happened in july 2012. after I spoke to numerous dealers and salesmen they told me that its highly unlikely for that type of vehicle to have problems with that milage on it. which at the time was 157 000km. I obtained all the roadworthy certificates and the complete sevice plan from bmw in santon and it turned out that the reading was turned back with 60 000km. I previously complained here and absa did contact me soon after but I never heard from them again and nothing has been done ever since. I still pay the vehicle despite it still being broken and the storage fees just goes up by the day. Its been more than a year since the car broke. and in the meantime my wife and I must struggle to get by.
