Money deducted, no explanation

I contacted the Card Collection call centre today. My credit card was previously in arrears and a payment of almost R6000 was deducted from my cheque account at the end of last month. No one had communicated to me that this deduction was going to take place or what it was for. I assumed it was for the overdue amount on my credit card and that the card was then up to date. When querying why i couldn't access my available balance on my credit card i was told by Elizabeth it was because my card was overdue. I couldn't understand it as they had deducted a payment from my cheque account which i thought got my account up to date. Should i have know that there was still a payment due after this R6000 had been deducted i would have made the payment but no one told me. Now i have money 'available' on my credit card which i cannot access due to my account still being overdue. I can make payment of the overdue amount within the next two days as i'm expecting a payment but i require my credit card to be reactivated with immediate effect. Elizabeth refused to do so and i requested to be put through to a supervisor. the line was silent for about 10 minutes before i put the phone down!
