Banking with people who can only read a script

I've been trying to obtain a student loan through First National Bank since January this year. It is now mid July. Loan approved early in the year. My mother (who was standing surety for me) decided to highlight the fact that she is 65 years old (which the agent didn't pick up on). Additional insurances was required to cover the loan. We've been paying for the insurance, and we have waited and waited and waited for FNB to respond. We called the bank over and over again, only to be told by EVERY call centre agent: "we don't deal with this, I'll forward your information to the relevant department". We've been to the nearest branch, who also tell us the same!!! What kind of a bank is this??? No one knows what they're doing!! Then, out of the blue we get an SMS saying "Dear Mrs..., your loan has been denied". That's it. no explanation. No reason. No communication from a human being. Nothing! Both of my parents have invested their money with FNB for many many years, and this is how they get treated! I have never been so unbelievably annoyed by a company. I will most certainly be telling every student and every person I know, never to even attempt to bank with FNB! Disgraceful!
