I recently got a call from African Bank saying that they are going to black-list me for not paying installments on a loan account and credit card. These accounts were opened in my name on 29 May 2013. I have no idea how it is possible because they definitely didn't have an original ID document to open the account as I still have it.
They told me to go to SAPS and state my case and fax it to them so they can investigate.
African Bank seems to be able to skirt the rules when it comes to opening a bank account. Why?
I hope they resolve the matter quickly and keep me informed. They should have had a lot of practice at it.
