MISINFORMED & UNHAPPY

When opening my account at FNB one request that I had was to make sure my account never goes in a negative. I was informed that the type of account that I have would not be able to do so therefore I opened the account happily. I only later found out that it is not possible to have an account not go in negative and was also informed by a consultant, Ronnet Pillay, that the bank allows accounts to go into negative as a "favour" to us to avoid us being embarrassed. I was later advised to manage my account better. I knew exactly what was happening with my account and if it hadn't gone into negative I would have been just fine. To be honest I would have never opened an account with FNB had I known this. I'd rather have stayed with Standard bank.

If this is how business is conducted and consultants are misinforming people then I suggest we keep recorders on ourselves even when meeting in person with people. Was truly disgusted, upset and unimpressed by this.
