Failure to repair Insurance Claims

About a month ago my tiles started popping from the floor where the grouting was damaged, due to a geyser leak some months ago. The geyser was repaired, however where the grouting was eroded it allowed water to penetrate thus leaking to the two adjacent rooms. After the heavy rains the tiles started to pop with a loud noise. I recorded this and submitted a claim. A very prejudiced assessor came to evaluate the damage. Without inspecting or touching a single tile or inspecting the integrity of the tile cement he told me "ABSA will dismiss your claim as the tiles are to smooth and they may be imported" He ONLY took two photos. About four weeks after this I enquired from ABSA about their delay in reporting back or repairing my insurance claim. The consultant Adnaan confirmed that it was declined. I requested a report as I also do have a independant report and wanted that to compare it. He declined and only said that he will refer it back to his supervisor. I again called Friday but he refused to talk or call me back. Nowhere else in my house has a single tile came off the floor, the floors are solid. I am paying insurance and must still repair the damage myself. Shame ABSA! waiting
