I believe I was misled into buying a "scratches and dents policy" from 1st for Women when I decided to insure my car with this company 3 months ago.
I wouldn't opt to pay an additional R174 a month on top of a premium of R465 for a scratches and dents policy!
If a vehicle insurance doesn't cover you for scraches and dents, what on earth is it for? I vaguely remember being offered this benefit for free.
When I noticed the additional debit off my account, I phoned the call centre on 28 June. When I discovered what it was for, I asked for it to be cancelled and for the voice recording of that conversation to be sent to me.
When, after 2 business days, I'd heard nothing from First for Women - I expect a letter notifying me that this policy has been cancelled as per my request to the call centre agent - I sent an email to 1st for Women reiterating my request for the voice recording.
A day later I received the following message via email - WITHOUT an attachment. This is pathetic service and reason enough to cancel:
