This is my second complaint against the same person for the same claim. ABSA eventually sent an assessor out to have a look at my ceiling and the documentation he had was that the claim had been finalised in full. I sent him the emails I received from Shaneen which confirmed that only the carport had been sorted out and this was in fact a separate claim. Shaneen does not respond to my emails at all and I am still sitting with a large black patch on my ceiling and a leaky roof. I have not received the promised correspondence from the assessor either so all in all I am not impressed by Absa's service.
I am now looking at approaching the Insurance Ombudsman to find a resolution.
