My name is Amanda I took out a policy with Sanlam in 2011, funeral policy and ever since i am getting no jooy with the service they have been offering me. Policy No. SG32088997, they debit my policy whenever it suits them and not on the date that i requested which incur unnecessary bank charges for me and when you call their call centre you get incompetent consultants that cannot assist you or 1 will completely different information from the other. I had 2 policies with them one was a savings policy due to the poor service and their random debit dates i ended up cancelling my policy even then i had to fight them before i could get my money. Now I cannot afford to cancel my funeral policiy after contributing for 3 yrs, on the 25March i sent a request to move the debit date to the 20ththey advised me that it was done only to find out on the 24.06.2013 that I owe R1360 of premiums and i dont have a clue where that bal comes from and the consultant was very arrogant saying that it is my responsebilty to make sure that my premiums go off, I need an expalnation as in to how did it end up being that high amount as according to their terms it says when you missed 3 premiums the pol lapse
