Dear ABSA
My wife and I are South African citizens currently residing and teaching English in South Korea. As such we earn and save a considerable amount of money that is transferred back to South Africa on a monthly basis.
Two weeks ago I transferred some savings (hoping to capitalize on the weak exchange rate).
14 days later it still hasn't been cleared. I emailed ABSA [Email Removed] but got no response.
I would like to know why did it take so long to get the transaction cleared?
It shouldn't take more than 2 - 3 business days.
What would have happened if I needed to access those funds for an emergency situation?
Should I expect the same issue to recur in the near future?
We are in the 21st Century and client satisfaction is at an all time low.
Now do something about it.
