FNB allowing access to old signatories

I am part of an organization that has a FNB account.
After a few years of having new signatories FNB consistently (every time I go to any branch) tells me that to access the account I need to be a signatory (which I am).
When I ask who the signatories are - they mention the names that were signatories more than 6 years ago.. and were removed more than 6 years ago.
Is this internal perhaps?
