Poor Service - Car Insurance Claim

I lodged an accident claim on 10 June 2013. 10 days later my vehicle hasn't been assessed as yet and unless I call, I'm not keep up to date with the progress. I'm a paraplegic driver and when I applied for the insurance policy the consultant told me that they won't be able to get me an adapted courtesy car should I need one, so I didn't take that option. Now I had an accident and I'm being hugely inconvenienced. I now have to hire a courtesy car myself which is expensive just so I'm able to get around. It's not like I can go catch a taxi or bus anytime I need to. Please treat this with some sensitivity. My car is a huge necessity and I need it assessed and fixed so my life can carry on.
