1st I have to pay yearly to earn ebucks. Its called a reward, but we actually pay for it.
2nd I have to meet ridiculous criteria to earn ebucks.
3rd I have 2 FNB credit cards, cheque account, savings, investment accounts (and used to have a home loan which is now paid off) and I get a measly 5% discount on some purchases.
I've just tried to book an air ticket on ebucks. I'm quoted R700 more for the exact same flight as on the Emirates site (checked at exactly the same time). So with my measly 5% discount, the ticket still costs more than buying it directly on the Emirates site!
What is the logic in offering something which costs the customer more in the long run???
When I phoned ebucks travel to find out about this, I had to hang on for 15 minutes only to be told thats just the way it is.
So sick and tired of FNB and their gimmicks.
