I have a normal savings acc, the reason for this is that years ago, i went though a bad patch relating to debt, every time i goto a Branch i am asked to open a cheque acc related to my salary. I always decline I dont want to ever have revolving credit, overdrafts etc. That being said Sunday 16 June I drew monies from ATM, if the bank notices I tried to draw statement from 10 different ATM's also tried the computerised ATM where you can draw 7-3 months statement, none of them worked. I drew cash several times but the balance remained the same, and i could not draw a statement I have been done in before by some Nigerian, via Standard Bank and wasn't certain what was going on, i also have friends that owed me cash, so i assumed that they credited my account via new ATM function, it was fathers day so i through a nice party. On Monday morning i am overdrawn R1700, this is pathetic, my salary goes into account I expect Standard Bank to control my account with salary limits, much to my dismay. When Nigerian scheme occurred i was refunded and never got an apology that STD bank system was, lost stacks on bank charges, I cant afford R1700 off my acc due to STD bank system issue.
