Poor service with their assessors: : Wally Böhme

April 6th 2013 I had an accident with my vehicle in Oudtshoorn. Firstly the assessors took about 2weeks to attend to my vehicle, I had to call the assessors to find out how far with the claim, to only find out they had not been to assess the vehicle. I later did submit the documents they need and I also went personally to them to hand-in in person. The lady asked me what type of cover i took and i did inform her it was top-up... to my surprise I received a email for the claim not to be correct, then i went to santam offices to clear that out. Again to my surprise I learn that I will have to pay excess of R4500 of which when i took the package the gentlemen on the phone had made it clear that top-up covers everything hence I didn't take top-up with the financing bank and the dealer at VW asked the gentlemen several times the top-up will cover such things. No i'm stuck with this unpleasant issues firstly my claim has not been followed through and 2ndly this excess. May 2013 Santam continued to deduct money for the vehicle insurance and this month also. I cannot do anything as to get a new car because the settlement has not done by Santam. I'm not happy with their assessor & SANTAM.
