Cancelled a policy but my account was debited

I called 1life for a credit life insurance, explained exactly what I needed to the agent, after a few weeks without any confirmation or policy number, I called 1 Life to find out what was happening and eventually I was sent a copy of the policy via email. I read the document and thee some things that I needed clarity on and I sent an email to 1life asking if they can explain to me the difference between life cover and credit life as I had requested for a credit life insurance and the policy was for a life cover, they didn't explain and I decided to send an email to cancel the policy. I was using the same email address that they used to send me the documents and I never received any notification e.g to show that mailbox was full or the email was not delivered. I assumed that they have received my emails as previously they responded when I sent them beneficiary details on the same email address. I got a surprise this morning when R150 R156, 02 was debited from my account.
