We have a bond with FNB & in January this year I contacted the homeloan department to ask about a payment break (which apparently they thought they offered) so as to have some funds for home rennovations. I was sent some forms which I faxed to the number on the form & haven't heard anything since. I've just recently managed to contact the person who e-mailed me the forms in January & she says I must have the wrong person. I've spoken to my personal on-line premier banker, many other homeloan consultants but no-one really seems to know how things work there or anyone who might have a clue as to how things work there. We're seriously considering moving our bond to SA Homeloans, (at a massive cost, but seems worth it). They seem to have a much better understanding of "client" & really seem to be able to answer the question "How can we help you? "
