I do banking at First National Bank for my father, who is 80 years old. Over the last -3 months every time I have been into the bank - today most recently - I was unable to complete my business because the bank was off line.
This is a huge problem for me, and a monumental problem when considered on a national scale. Who pays for repeated visits to the bank, time lost, unnecessary costs incurred... FNB's customers and anyone else who may be affected.
In this day and age, this is technologically unacceptable!
Whilst I'm at it... I have repeatedly tried to arrange power of attorney on my father's account for over 2 years and am still not successful, but have untold drama caused by my various attempts e.g. my father was no longer permitted as a signatory on his own account! I have now given up, am scared of drama if I try to fix the situation AGAIN and don't even want to think of the resultant hiccups when my father passes away and I have to action things regarding his estate!!
