I was previously a client of said company. Initially I took on comprehensive insurance with them as they were very fast and professional.
A few months later whilst matching insurance quotes with a few people, I found that I was paying way too much. I did a quote on hippo and I got quotes which were - R300 less than Outsurance premium with half the excess of R6500.
I informed Outsurance of this and even attached a screenshot containing the quotes and asked if they could beat it, I got no response.
I then told them via email i had changed address, they called almost immediately and revised my premium of R860 by R30.
I again sent them email containing quotes and informed them that failure to advise on it, i would be cancelling policy. Again i received no response.
On the 14th of May i emailed them to inform them that I would be terminating the policy and that they should not deduct any money from me come the 25.
They deducted on the 25th of May and i went to the bank to reverse. I also sent email again. They have deducted again today whereas i am not their client.
Be careful people, these people are quick to respond when it benefits them, otherwise they ignore and try rob you.
